The UK Martial Arts Hall of Fame proudly inducted KMAA-DOJO’s founders, Grandmaster David Kacperski (10th Dan) and Master Sally Kacperski (3rd Dan), during a grand ceremony at Doncaster Dome. Their dual recognition reflects decades of contribution to karate and kickboxing education across Mansfield and beyond.

Hosted on 3 May 2025, the event brought together leading figures in British martial arts. Grandmaster Bob Sykes (9th Dan) and Grandmaster Paul Barnett (7th Dan) presented the awards, celebrating David’s visionary leadership and Sally’s technical excellence. The packed auditorium erupted in applause as each recipient took the stage to receive their Hall of Fame plaque.

David Kacperski, who founded KMAA-DOJO over two decades ago, has built the club into a regional powerhouse known for its disciplined yet inclusive training environment. His 10th Dan status marks him as one of the highest-ranked instructors in the UK, and his Hall of Fame induction cements a legacy of mentorship that has produced national champions and dedicated instructors.

Reflecting on his award, David said, “This honor belongs as much to our students and instructors as it does to me. Every black belt, every tournament win, and every community class has driven KMAA-DOJO forward. Being recognized by my peers at the Hall of Fame is deeply humbling.”

Master Sally Kacperski’s rise to 3rd Dan and Hall of Fame status highlights her rapid ascent through the ranks and her innovative approach to coaching. A standout competitor in women’s divisions, Sally has also spearheaded KMAA-DOJO’s self-defense curriculum for young women and girls, earning praise for both her technical skill and her commitment to empowerment through martial arts.

“I’m honoured to stand alongside my husband in the Hall of Fame,” Sally shared. “Our dojo has always been a family affair, but our true family is everyone who steps onto the mat. I look forward to using this platform to inspire more women to discover their strength.”

With this prestigious recognition, KMAA-DOJO looks ahead to hosting its annual summer seminars and expanding outreach programmes in local schools. The Hall of Fame awards underscore the club’s ongoing mission: to foster confidence, discipline, and excellence in every student.
