SACHET
SYSTEM SELF-HEATING MEALS & DRINKS
The
AUTOCHEF® flameless sachet system for self heating meals and drinks
is a breakthrough,
inexpensive, easy to use self-heating
system which provides a heated meal/drink in 8-12 minutes
without needing any external energy source. The system uses
entirely natural limestone with water
and is therefore
environmentally safe and non-toxic.
The system is ideal for use with military rations or similar
food/drink for any outdoor activity where hot
food/drink is
required away from a conventional cooking capability.
The AUTOCHEF® system has a number of significant advantages over other
sachet self-heating systems:

NO
HYDROGEN
- is given off so the system is safe to transport or use in
flight;
in submarines; near naked flames or in other potentially
flammable situations.
The product carries no risk of fire or explosion.
2.
EFFECTIVE
HEATING - The
self-heating sachet size more adequately covers the
area of most food sachets and so more quickly and effectively
heats the food.
3.
NO
FUMES/SMELLS
- There are no foul smelling, dangerous or noxious fumes given
off – just
a bit of steam - so the system can be safely and
pleasantly used in a tent or other enclosed area.
4. CHEMICAL
REACTION. CaO
+ H2O = Ca(OH)2 + 15.5 Kcal.
5. LESS
DETECTABLE
- The absence of detectable smells and fumes, or other
dangerous
gases, together with the ability to safely use the product in
a confined area, means
the location of use is less likely to be detected by others
– and potentially life-saving
DISPOSAL –
The spent AUTOCHEF® heater has a high pH and is a benefit in land
fills,
the spent heater is limestone Ca(OH)2
and is not harmful to the environment. Waste
resulting from this product is not considered as dangerous
according to the European
Council decision of January 16, 2001, modifying the
2000/532/EC decision about the
list of wastes (101304).
